This was our second year in a row in to visit New Orleans and our second trip to the cooking school. Chef Matt was informative and really taught some great techniques. We cooked gumbo, BBQ shrimp and grits, and bananas foster crepes. The BBQ shrimp were the highlight of the meal! I've made them a few times before, but this recipe and his technique really up'd my game! I can't wait to return.

My husband and I loved this class. We are not familiar at all with this style of cuisine so this was a great way to immerse ourselves. It's my sneaky way to get my hubby to learn to cook. To get things rolling there were bloody Mary's and mimosas to start. Sarah was very safety conscious, full of historical facts and entertaining. The class max is 10 which is the perfect size. We plan to return back to NOLA and we will definitely sign up again for another class.

The class was awesome! We purchased the demo class, Chef John showed us how to make Artichoke soup with shrimp, crawfish etouffee, and pralines. It was educational, fun, we ate everything more than once! Me and my wife enjoyed it. We will definitely be back again.
