New Orleans Photo Walks Historical Photography Tours

Overview
New Orleans is a Photographer's Paradise.  "If you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of more interesting stuff." Architecture from Baroque to Modern, the buildings and Cemeteries of New Orleans tell the story of a peculiar American city heavily influenced by its French, Spanish and Caribbean roots. Its diverse historical influences have impacted the urban fabric as much as the culture itself. Our Photography Guides, licensed New Orleans tour guides, combine the history with the shot. A historical Photo Walk for Everyone.  Beginners, Hobbyists and Advanced; Smart Phones, Pads, Point and Shoot, DSLR, and Mirrorless.

We enjoyed this tour. Donald is very knowledgeable of photography and NOLA history. It was informative to get a photographer’s perspective on shooting good photos of historic buildings and other sites, we typically take pictures of when traveling. This tour is tailored to the participants so make sure you ask questions to best benefit from the experience.

Great time Jim was informative and very helpful One of his mottos was you’re looking at things in plain sight and not even understanding their significance. That certainly was our case he shown me some places that had walked past many times and identified some of the interesting things about them. You also help me with making my photos better

Thrilled to hear you had a great time with our guide Jim on The Savvy Native’s French Quarter PhotoWalks tour. Jim also commented how much he enjoyed his time with you capturing what’s uniquely New Orleans. Hopefully you can join us on our new Cemetery PhotoWalks tour the next time you’re in the City. Thanks Again!

As well as learning more of the history of New Orleans, we felt like we were walking through a bygone scene, embedded in the world of the past. Jeremy encouraged us to look up, look down, look into alleys, look for reflections and find a unique angle to capture unique images of the scenes that stand in front of every tourist.
