New Orleans Photo Walks Historical Photography Tours

Overview
New Orleans is a Photographer's Paradise.  "If you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of more interesting stuff." Architecture from Baroque to Modern, the buildings and Cemeteries of New Orleans tell the story of a peculiar American city heavily influenced by its French, Spanish and Caribbean roots. Its diverse historical influences have impacted the urban fabric as much as the culture itself. Our Photography Guides, licensed New Orleans tour guides, combine the history with the shot. A historical Photo Walk for Everyone.  Beginners, Hobbyists and Advanced; Smart Phones, Pads, Point and Shoot, DSLR, and Mirrorless.

Very enjoyable tour of the French Quarter paired with general photography instruction. During the two-hour stroll through the Quarter there are opportunities to take photos of the iconic New Orleans scenes - Jackson Square, Preservation Hall, and more - under the direction of the instructor. Tour guide, Donald, was excellent. Very knowledgeable and obviously enjoyed sharing the history of the area.

Thank you for the great review! Our New Orleans PhotoWalks Tours are a great combination of photo opportunities, instruction and history. The Savvy Native is fortunate to have Donald, whose passion for photography is equaled only by his love of “America’s Most Interesting City”, leading our tours. See you when you get back... Again, Thank You!

One of my favorite things to do when visiting a new city is to take a photo tour because it's a great way to practice my hobby while learning about a new place. This tour was excellent for both. I met Donald, the instructor, at the Cypress Grove Cemetery, and spent two hours touring the location with him. Donald is a local photography teacher. In addition to teaching me new photography techniques, he also educated me about New Orleans' interesting history and burial practices. I highly recommend this tour.
