This was an excellent tour. The tour leader was extremely knowledgeable about the area having lived there and through Katrina. The bus was small and we were able to ask questions at any time and we could clearly hear all that was said. The only challenge was keeping the other travelers on track and not talking about their own personal stuff. The tour leader was also very flexible and offered to drop us off where ever we chose.

If you are new to New Orleans, this is a top notch way to start your visit. In 3 hours you get a great feel for the different NOLA neighborhoods and points of interest. Excellent mini-history lesson on Hurricane Katrina, the French Quarter and other areas of the city, the unique above-ground burial system, and more. Guide and co-proprietor (with his Dad) Ozzy Jr. is a NOLA native who is personable, gracious, informative and committed to making this excursion edifying and enjoyable for his clients. This is money well spent for those want an initial orientation to this unique destination!

We toured with Ozzy Jr. as our guide/driver in March 2017. It was awesome! We were a small group 7 adults, 3 of which were from Canada, 2 from England, and myself and my husband from Baton Rouge, LA. Even though my husband and I were born and raised in the area, we learned so much from Ozzy, Jr. Our guests from Canada thoroughly enjoyed the tour as well. They happened to be visiting us when Katrina hit, so it was interesting for them to hear from Ozzy exactly what really happened. We traveled around the French Quarter, the 9th ward, the Garden District, one of the above ground cemeteries, and many other sites. Ozzy told us about the architecture, the history, the cemetery mausoleums (the 'double ovens' explanation was both startling and fascinating!), and City Park. We stopped half way through the tour at City Park Morning Call and had beignets and cafƩ-au-lait. Very Yummy! We did the afternoon tour 2-5pm and Ozzy didn't have another tour scheduled after us, so he took his time thoroughly explaining everything. He answered our questions, showed us a book he had showing the map of New Orleans and where the levees were overtopped by storm surge which flooded New Orleans. We definitely recommend this tour and if you request Ozzy Jr. as your guide, we are certain you will be amazed. We will be going back to do other tours of New Orleans with Ozzy Jr. Thank you Ozzy, Cindy and friends
