We had Ozzy Jr as our tour guide. He did an amazing job explaining the history of New Orleans. We loved the tour and appreciated all the information that was given to us. He was very accommodating and had a love for the city. We did the tour on our last day and he was able to tell us things we didn't know about the city. I would recommend doing the tour if you go to New Orleans. Thanks Ozzy Jr!

This was a really wonderful tour, thanks to our guide Ozzy Jr. He is a New Orleans native who has joined the tour guide gig with his father. Ozzy's explanations were clear and interesting, and he answered questions in an engaging way that made the trip really enjoyable. We ended up feeling like we had made a new friend.

We started with a slow, thorough drive through the French Quarter, reviewing the architecture and history. Then we went through City Park, which looked beautiful, and on to Katrina sights: the lower 9th, Lake Pontchartrain strangely obscured by fog and the 21st street canal, which gave way during the storm. Ozzy clarified a lot about how the storm was so devastating, and why the lower 9th, which got only 4 feet of water, ended up worse off than the area right by 21st street, which got 10 feet.

We also spent some time at the fascinating Metairie Cemetary, finding out about the unique ovens used for burial in this hot, swampy climate. Our trip back towards downtown took us through the plush Garden neighborhood, filled with lovely houses.

This trip is a great way to start a stay in New Orleans! There is so much more to this town than Bourbon Street. And Ozzy has a million great recommendations about sights, restaurants, music and all the rest!

We just completed a tour with Ozzie Jr. exploring the rich and diverse culture of New Orleans. As a 4th generation Nola native, this young man had so many valuable pieces of history, architecture, and little known gems of information that added quality to this experience. New Orleans is such a textured city and our guide really captured the essence of its gifts. Most enjoyable were the details regarding Katrina which put into perspective pre, during and post facts that illuminated the whole of this devastating piece of New Orleans history..... Driving through a mixed religious cemetery and then traveling back towards the neighborhoods closest to the French Quarter was also quite interesting. The personal pick up and delivery was an added gift and the only thing that could have made it better was a real benet!!! This was a worthwhile experience.... PS: My 16 year old son was also encouraged to ask questions and share his experience. For this I am grateful.
