We did the luncheon jazz tour on the Steamboat Natchez. We had our lunch, which was a very tasty combination of regional favorites, first and then we were free to stay inside or move outside on deck to continue to listen to the narration of the history of New Orleans and traffic on the Mississippi River. It is possible to take the cruise without purchasing the lunch. The Steamship Natchez is the last true steamship operating on the Mississippi. The engine room is open to tour and you can also see the huge boilers which generate the steam to fully power the ship. It is truly a ride on a vehicle of a bygone age. This tour is very appropriate for families with children, couples, or friends. A live band plays jazz when the ship turns and returns to NOLA.

Beautiful warm sunny day to cruise the river. Good music, light lunch. Informative, the French quarter is above sea level, pleasant excursion.

We had a great time. The crew were knowledgeable and friendly. The food and drinks were great, and the music was even better.
