We were so lucky with the weather in winter! Beautiful blue skies and to be in shorts! We did the afternoon 2.30pm departure and surprised how busy and how many people this boat took. The queues were long! I’d bought tickets online but you had to still show the email at the ticket office to get paper tickets which seemed pointless to me in todays digital world. We sat up on the top deck with the jazz band and still managed to get chairs on the edge so a great view all the way up the Mississippi. We were sat on the right side too as most of the cruise is going downstream so looking forward sit on the left as the commentary mainly relates to what you see on the New Orleans city side and not the Algiers side. It was a very pleasant 2hrs but lucky we had the sun!!
