I accompanied my husband on this tour - he loves US history, and found this tour online. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as he did, but it was my favorite part about our trip to NYC! The walk took us to a variety of places I've never been to before where he pointed out the details still present today from Washington and Hamilton's time. Bruce the tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging, and I learned more in three hours than I did in any history class. I have not seen Hamilton the musical, but this provided a great foundation for those who want to see it - so I would recommend this tour before seeing the show.

In my visit to NYC, I wanted a focus as not to be overwhelmed. I had read Ron Chernow, Hamilton and wanted to firm up the story. I arrived a little early and saw a group on the steps and joined as I thought it the Washington and Hamilton tour. The guide said my name was not on the list but invited me to join. Because I was pretty familiar with Hamilton, I could tell the guide not perhaps well versed or the delivery not poised or strong. I noticed another group forming and took leave to confirm it the tour I booked. It was. I share to say, in comparison and contrast Bruce was prepared, and confirmed and enhanced what i had not yet learned. The walk was paced well with good moments to sit. To imagine where Washington and Hamilton had walked before was a good view of early NYC.

Bruce is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the US revolutionary history. He answers all our questions in a professional and patient way, no matter how stupid they are. The quotes from these historical figures throughout the tour are beautiful and enlightening. We can't wait to join his central part tour next time!
