New York Dyker Heights Christmas Lights

Overview
Nothing says Christmas like Dyker Heights, the most famous display of lights on the planet. Locals have been decorating their homes—personally and professionally—since the '80s, making it a true NYC winter wonderland.

THE TOUR WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN or SHINE!

The ride from Midtown to Dyker Heights in Brooklyn is about an hour long on board of our comfortable coach fully heated with a restroom on board.

Your guide will escort you to Lucy Spata's house, the house that started this tradition, and walk you through the most illuminated streets before taking you back to the bus. You will spend about an hour in Dyker Heights strolling around and taking pictures.

The next stop will be at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge in the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. You will have about 25 minutes to take pictures of the breathtaking Manhattan skyline and the Bridge.

Then you will return to Manhattan via the Manhattan Bridge. The tour ends at the Bryant Park Winter Village.

We did this while up in NYC area on November 29th. I have done some of these in other cities before and it can be hard to find a great one. This one is a must do! They had convenient amenities like power chargers, WIFI, and a restroom too. I thought the guide was very knowledgeable and professional. The lights of course were AMAZING! I will absolutely do this one again.

Not a bad tour but I expected to see a lot more houses decorated. Tour guide was quite informative, we stopped at the Brooklyn Bridge to be able to take photos

Hi Susan, It was unexpected that some houses were not yet lit up. Sorry you were disappointed. Happy to hear the tour guide was good. We appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for the enjoyment of our trip to Dyker heights. Even thought it was a bit early in the fact not all had their lights on as it was nov 30 th we loved every minute of it. This is one thing ticked off our bucket list. Had you not started your till Dec 1 at we would have missed out as we went home next morning. Loved it.

Hi Kai, I am so happy to read your reviews. The reason why we start early is exactly that. Everybody cannot be here during the peak season. Over the years we have been receiving a lot of requests for early tours. Moreover, all the houses that are professionally decorated by specialized companies are ready by Thanksgiving. And those are the houses that you really need to see, whereas the other houses are more like fillers and they get lit a little later in the season. Thank you so much for your wonderful review and take good care!
