I booked this tour for my mom and I after receiving a Cloud 9 Living gift certificate as a present. Our guide for the day was Adam and he really made this a fun, informative, and delicious food tour of the West Village. This tour does feel like it may be better suited for tourists or out of towners, but as a born and raised New Yorker, I still enjoyed learning more about a city I love. A number of historical talking points that Adam pointed out throughout the tour were mostly things I never really knew about. It makes you realize that you can live in a place your whole life and you still may not know as much as you think you do. The food stops we had on this tour were a good mix of what the West Village neighborhood has to offer. I made note of some of the places we had in our stop for a future visit. Adam is a wonderful guide and an all around nice guy. He was really attentive and took care of our group, especially on one of the hottest days on record. My mom and I thought having a food tour during 100 degree weather would be a miserable experience, but Adam made you forget about the heat with his personable demeanor and sense of humor. I would highly recommend this tour whether you're a long time New Yorker or someone who's vacationing in our city. You'll come to the tour hungry and leave it pleasantly full and satisfied.

My son and I took the tour with Alec and were very impressed with the thoroughness of the offerings and information about the West Village. The restaurants and stores we went to were representative of the many different cultures that called NYC home and the food was absolutely delicious. And the portions were not skimpy, I was still full at dinner time. I have gone on other food tours and would definitely recommend this tour especially if Alec is the tour guide, he was fantastic.

We took New York's West Village Food Tour. It was a relatively small group-5 people (guide told us that 3 people cancelled). It made it very nice and personable. Our guide Adam was great - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive . We had seven stops-all represented different ethnic cuisine of NYC - Mediterranean, Italian, Thai, Cuban, Mexican, German and of course amazing dessert. Even thou it was 90 degrees, Adam made sure we walked in a shade, provided water and we were fine. Highly recommend it.
