I had a wonderful time with Andrew as my tour guide who was also a guide for the Newport tours as well. He was extremely personable and knowledgeable about the area and even though it was rainy and cold I still had a wonderful time with my friend who joined me. The rest of our group was great and we bonded over the food and got to know more about each other along the way. I have lived in Providence for 5 years and was ecstatic with the selection of eateries, especially Gracie's and Ellie's Bakery as they are one of the top notch places to eat in Providence. There was a great variety in the selection of what we ate as well so it did not appear repetitive. I did not leave hungry or "hangry" in Andrew's terms and felt pleasantly full after the tour. If you are interested in trying out a great selection and to get to know what Providence has to offer that is not stereotypical than this is the tour for you!

Found out about this food tour from a good friend. It was the Newport Food Tour. The weather wasn't very cooperative but we enjoyed it despite the wind and rain. Sarah our tour guide was very informative and a lovely person. We visited 6 different restaurants and enjoyed small plates at each one. There was also beer flights and champagne at two of the venues. I am from this area and was still pleasantly surprised by two of the restaurants on the tour. Hidden gems that I will definitely visit again. Our fellow tourist were fun and we had some good laughs. I will recommend Rhode Island Red Food Tours to all my friends and family. It would be a great gift for Mother's and Father's Day or a birthday gift for a foodie.

My daughter gave me the Rhode Island Red Food Tour for a July birthday gift and I finally invited a friend to join me on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016. It was a gorgeous fall afternoon for walking from restaurant to restaurant around Newport. It was a small group, but we chatted with one another and quickly learned that we all had a Pennsylvania connection! Andrew was an excellent guide, full of enthusiasm and a headful of historical notes about the restaurants where we tasted and the neighborhoods that we visited. As a resident of Newport, I knew and liked the restaurants on the tour, probably not so well known to visitors. And their "little bites" were perfect for whetting the appetite for a lunch or dinner the next time in town. I would recommend the tour.
