We visited Newport for Labor Day weekend. This is our eleventh year of visiting, usually 3-4 times a year. After hearing other guests at our bed & breakfast mention this tour, we impulsively joined up, obtaining our tickets just one hour before the tour. The woman helping us arrange the tour was very pleasant, asked about food allergies, etc, and explained where to meet. We were not sure what to expect. We had a fun day, and learned bits of Newport history as we strolled historic areas, and visited six restaurants (4 we had not visited before). All of the places we visited were expecting us, welcomed us, and the food was presented promptly. Many of the Hosts/owners chatted with Paula, our guide, and the overall feeling was that they liked having our little group visit them. The food was all very tasty. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed meeting the rest of our group. Our guide was Paula, the owner of the company.

My family has been meeting friends in Newport, RI annually for many years. Each year we do something we've never done before and this year it was the Red Food Tour. Not only were we introduced to foods and restaurants, we also learned some history of Newport and other fun things to do in town. It was hot as blazes the day of our tour (it's a 3+ hour walking tour), but we had a blast. I highly recommend it.

Price was adequate for all the food we tasted and the history of Newport :). I would recommend this tour to family and friends who are new to the area and want to know about the food and history of Newport along with buying a house in Newport
