The tour company exceeded my expectations from the moment of booking. They were very accommodating for allergies/diets. At booking time I was able to note a nut allergy and a vegetarian in our group. The day before the tour I also got a call about the special requests and appreciated the confirmation. It was great to know the nut allergy was not an issue and the vegetarian was able to be accommodated at all but one stop. The day of the food tour the meeting location was perfect. We stayed at the Wyndham so all we had to do was walk across the street. The tour guide, Andrew was great. The tour started promptly. We went to The Lobster Shack for lobster cakes. I was nervous at the sound of them but everyone is my group was pleasantly surprised and loved them. Then at Belles Cafe we had clam chowder and our vegetarian got a panini. Everyone loved this stopped, some of my group went back the next day. After that was a little bit of a walk and where most of the history portion of the tour came into play. Andrew did a great job of putting us into shady spots to talk about the history of Newport and where we were. We all appreciated the history part of the tour. Then we stopped at Perro Salado. Here we were given the opportunity to purchase our own margaritas as this was our longest stop. The restaurant was awesome. And the sticky ribs were the best. The vegetarian got a veggie taco that she liked. After that was Washington Square Cafe where we got a huge and delicious chocolate chip cookie! Then we got some more history as we walked beside Washington Square park. After that we got hot dogs and hand cut fries at the Mission and our vegetarian got Fallafles. Then our last stop the oldest Pub in the US, White Horse Tavern where we all got a delicious and unique "cheesecake" dessert. Definitely eat a light breakfast before doing this. And if you are planning to do dinner that day book late reservations, you feel full for awhile after this tour! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Newport. It was one of my favorite food tours across the US that I have gone on.

We had a great time on our food tour. The restaurants we went to were Perro Salado, The Mission, The White Horse Tavern, The Lobster Shack, Washington Square Cafe, and Belles Cafe. All the food at each restaurant was excellent. And our tour guide, Andrew, made the tour so much fun. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Newport, Rhode Island.

Andrew was attentive, informative, kind and funny! We are RI natives and have been to Newport numerous times over the years, but the tour brought us to places we didn't know about, and we learned some stories we hadn't heard before! We enjoyed the pace of the walk, the seafood, meat, and sweets on this particular tour, and look forward to spending more time at each of the six stops. The shady locations for talks were appreciated. We arrived from Providence on the 10:30 a.m. Seastreak ferry and the meeting place for the food tour was a short and convenient walk. The walk was from 12:00-3:20 or so, giving us extra time to spend in the city. We chose to meet friends for a refreshing cocktail at the Marriott's outdoor Skiff bar which overlooks the bay and the ferry departure area so we could be aboard at 6:00. Paula was also interesting and helpful too. Thanks for the great experience!
