What To Expect

The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

Entire trip is not 90 minutes like advertised. It’s 3h long. I had hard time understanding the guide. I think they should upgrade the microphones.

Our description for the tour with an included Mansion states that it is 3 hours. 90 minutes of that is our standard Trolley tour and we allow for about 75-90 minutes at the Breakers for touring. I’m sorry if we weren’t clear with that description. As for the sound quality - We will double check all of the PA systems to make sure the are working properly. Sorry

Our tour guide, Ray, is a Newport native. He gave an excellent narrated tour. This was our first visit to the area and we would never understand the background of all the beautiful mansions without him!
