Please note: The Maid of the Mist boat cruise operates seasonally, usually between end of May and October (exact dates are subject to ice conditions) and is replaced in the off-season, depending on accessibility, by views from other observation points such as Gorge walk, Terrapin Point or others (access is subject to ice and weather conditions).The day’s itinerary is subject to traffic conditions and may be modified due to time constraints. When necessary in the spring and summer, ponchos are provided (you may get a little wet!).
Guide will explain in both languages English & Spanish
New York State law requires that all children be restrained in an appropriate child restraint system while riding in a motor vehicle until they are 8 years old. Starting November 1, 2019, all children under 8 years old must ride in a rear-facing car seat.
If you prefer to enjoy your tour without Maid of the Mist boat, you can complete your experience by choosing our interactive audioguide, available in English, Spanish and Chinese
In case you choose the option with audioguide, you will receive the instructions to download it before the day of your tour.
Bus drivers are not required to provide seats for the babies and the activity provider will not be responsible if you are unable to access the bus. To ensure that your child has a seat, you must bring your own, or inform the activity provider well in advance

What To Expect

Niagara Falls State Park

You will travel on a comfortable motor coach, with your bilingual tour guide, enjoying the scenic landscape of upstate New York (travel time is approximately 7-8 hours, each way, with one rest stop) on your journey north. Upon arrival at your destination, you will begin experiencing the adventure, beauty, and natural wonder of Niagara Falls. During your visit, you will learn about the interesting history of these mighty waters and enjoy spectacular views of the falls from different vantage points (depending on the weather conditions). You will have the opportunity of having lunch on your own, souvenir shopping, and exploring the beautiful Niagara Falls State Park.

Niagara Falls Observation Tower

Once the boat ride is over, your guide will head to the Observation Tower, as it is the unique way of exiting, from which you will be able to admire beautiful view of the falls.

Bridal Veil Falls

It is the smallest of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls and can be perfectly seen from Luna Island.

Goat Island

This island is considered the natural border between Canada and the United States, and here we can find a terrasse built to comfortably see Horseshoe Fall.

Horseshoe Falls

Horseshoe Falls is considered the most impressive of the three falls, and the Terrapin Point offers astonishing views of them.

I took this trip with a couple of school friends I hadn’t seen in over a decade. It was their first visit to the U.S., and Niagara Falls was on their bucket list. Sadly, this tour turned into a nightmare. Even though we initially sat together, I was forced to move and sit next to a complete stranger—an absolutely awful human being. This person constantly invaded my space, practically spilling over into my seat to accommodate his oversized self, making the already long journey utterly unbearable. The management and our Tour guide Artudo couldn’t care less. They easily could have seated all three of us together but chose to ignore the issue entirely. While the falls were beautiful, the 16-hour round trip was a miserable experience. The lack of organization, complete indifference from the staff, and the sheer discomfort of sitting next to such an inconsiderate stranger ruined what should have been a memorable trip. Avoid this tour at all costs.

We had the option to see both sides of Niagara falls. We walked through the trail and went on the observation deck. Magnificent! Roberto, our guide, was really helpful, patient and made sure we had our safety during the whole trip.

The falls were undeniably impressive, though I would rank them below both Iguazu and Victoria Falls. The downside of the excursion was the six-hour bus ride to the falls and another six hours back to New York City. While the guide and driver did their best to make the journey enjoyable, spending 12 hours on a bus during a 20-hour trip significantly diminished the overall experience.
