Chena Hot Springs Resort
After wandering through the cool museum, don your bathing suit and enjoy the resort’s legendary namesake. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

This tour made my trip to Alaska so much better. If I could hire Ricky to follow me around and talk on a daily basis I would. Chena Hot Springs (make sure you get a apple martini) is way cool and searching for Lady Aurora is a hard experience to beat. All made so much better by our tour guide Ricky. Great tour!

We did two tours with Alaska Wildlife Guide. My favorite part about using Alaska Wildlife Guide is the personality of their tour guides. Our first tour was to the Arctic Circle from Fairbanks with Ken. Ken was upbeat, humorous and could relate to each unique personality on the trip- young and old. We traveled the iconic Dalton Highway and checked out the Yukon river and Yukon Jeremy's shop (what an experience). Then we went on to the Arctic Circle. Although the road could be rough I never felt unsafe. Once the sun set we searched for Lady Aurora. While everyone in the van slept Ken searched the sky until all of sudden he shouted out that he found her. We had a great adventure and were blessed to see the Northern Lights. The second tour we went on was the Chena Hot Springs and Northern Lights tour. For this tour we had Ricky as our tour guide. This was our favorite tour. Ricky had the most interesting stories to share and looked out for each and everyone of us during the entire night. He took care of everything we could've needed and even made us reservations for dinner. After the fun at Chena we too hunted for Lady Aurora. Ricky was clearly an expert on how to find the Aurora. It wasn't long before we were once again blessed to see the lights. Once the tour had ended and we were heading back to our hotels Lady Aurora jumped out again and Ricky immediately found a place to pull over so everyone could see the lights. Our tour group had such a blast together that we all exchanged information at the end. We really loved our tours and tour guides!

Our guide Bob went "beyond the manual" to guide, escort me and the group towards unforgettable aurora viewing experience. Since I came from Japan, the hot spring was so-so but the aurora session after that was unforgettable amazing. Bob knows the best spot to view and capture the phenomenal northern lights; with great viewing and without anybody else around. Very cool
