The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. Great drive out to the springs nice and relaxing, Cole was a good driver knows the area well he was great to get on with we stopped to take in the awesome view of a moose in the swamp, the hot springs were relaxing and the ice bar was very cool 😎 The northern lights were not as active as it was early in the season,we stopped at a couple of different places to get a better view, seen some on the horizon looked great, overall a good night.

This is an amazing tour! We were promptly picked up at our hotel by Suzi, and she immediately impressed us with her knowledge and friendliness. The ride out to the resort was informative and the van comfortable. We enjoyed the property tour. The ice museum was cool 😎 ( buy the appletini and ice *glass*). The hot springs were amazing so even if you’re hesitant it’s worth going. The locker room does get busy. Dinner at the restaurant was very good ( on the spendy side) and service was excellent. Be advised that the walk up to the Aurorium is uphill with a steep incline and may not be easy for everyone. The cabin is heated and has a large viewing window. We opted to remain outside. Suzi was an excellent guide and super accommodating and flexible. We were lucky enough to see the Aurora!

Pros: Suzy was an excellent guide; knowledgeable and patient. Enjoyed the ice museum and hot springs. Pool was a nice cool down. Dinner was very good (fresh salmon). Veggies are grown on site in hot houses. Heated hut at top of trail to view aurora if very cold. We stood outside. She showed us how to do exposures to capture the images better than the naked eye. Saw the aurora splendidly on the way back. Not so pro: spa locker rooms are old, tight, crowded and zero privacy. Walk up to see the lights is steep, dark, pebbly, a bit washed while dodging horse manure. Make sure your cell is charged so you can use your flashlight to help and if it takes you longer. No seating up top.
