After wandering through the cool museum, don your bathing suit and enjoy the resort’s legendary namesake. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

Ray was absolutely amazing! She was so informational and attentive to our group. She was making sure everyone had what they needed at all times. She brought extra supplies in case someone forgot something. She made extra stops on the way there to take photos of the sun setting and extra stops on the way home so we could experience even more about the Aurora. This trip was worth every single penny! The ice museum bar/museum, the hot springs was INCREDIBLE!!! And the viewing area for the Aurora was great. But our best pictures came on the way home when we stopped on a pull out. Thank you for this amazing experience!! Side note: nothing to do with the tour but we did have our Go Pro stolen inside the ice museum. By the time we realized it was gone, we had went back and someone had already picked it up and never returned it to lost and found. Such a bummer but thankful we hadn’t lost irreplaceable pictures of the Aurora.

Our tour guide, Raydene was great. She was very knowledgeable about the Aurora and the Fairbanks area in general. The ice museum was good and the Chena Hot Springs were such an amazing experience. The sky was not as clear we had hoped so the aurora was not as visible as we hoped. But Raydene did a wonderful job taking us to different spots in order to catch any possible views of the aurora. In fact we were lucky enough to get few good pictures of the aurora despite the weather not permitting the aurora to be more visible. Definitely a worthwhile, fun adventure.
