The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

Our guide, Dave, was very pleasant and gave us great information about the Chena area as well as tips on photographing the aurora. We got lucky and had some auroral activity that night. Before that, my wife and I really enjoyed relaxing at the outdoor hot springs! Definitely recommend.

Jake was a true delight. The shuttle ride out was nice & felt safe, we saw several moose and Jake was kind enough to stop and let us tourists gawk at the giant creatures. When we got to the resort, Jake guided us around & took care of the older people in the group. The ice museum was cool, cold even. Dinner was fine. Our group was lively and made it entertaining. The hot springs were the hot ticket (literally) the best part of the tour. We were not able to see the lights but Jake kept us entertained while we waited to hopefully see them. 10/10 would recommend this tour & Jake.

Our Tour guide Bob was awesome! The drive out to the Chena hot springs is about an hour and Bob answered questions and provided lots of background on life in Fairbanks. Some people on our tour were hoping to see moose and Bob said if anyone sees a moose to just shout out and we would stop. We got lucky and someone spotted a moose and Bob was able to turn around and we were able to see and the moose eating and we all got to take pictures of her. Once at Chena Hot Springs Bob got everyone checked in and organized and we were off to the ice museum and then dinner. The Northern Lights were out and Bob let us know and a few of us went out and enjoyed some great views. Dinner was very nice and then we enjoyed the hot springs for about 45 minutes. The hot springs are great, we were worried about the cold temperature but we decided to go for it and we are so happy we did. Very relaxing and peaceful. After our soak we all gathered our gear and took a short walk up to the Aurora viewing cabin. The Aurora were fantastic and we took our photos and just enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and the night sky. As we were walking back down Bob graciously assisted a member of our tour as she was a bit unsure of her footing. Some tour members relaxed in the visitor center while some of us walked out to the dark airstrip and continued watching the light show in the sky. Bob made our tour seamless and fun at every juncture. We recommend this tour to anyone looking for a very well organized and wonderful experience while in Fairbanks.
