John was absolutely awesome as a driver and guide! He explained our experience in advance to set expectations, offered assistance to everyone the whole trip and made sure we had hot drinks and a comfy van. He had thoroughly researched locations to find the best setting with the fewest clouds. We were cloud free at Cleary Summit. As an older, single female in very cold weather in the middle of the night I felt safe and reassured he was taking our safety very seriously. I will definitely go out again with this aurora hunting team!

I went with my parents & since it was cloudy in Fairbanks, we thought we wouldn’t see the lights at all, but our guide Tony knew where to go & was awesome! It was so fun hearing about his personal experiences growing up & living in Alaska- to be honest if we didn’t see the lights it still would’ve been a great experience hearing his stories & knowledge about Alaska. Highly recommend asking for him if you go. He also showed us how to put settings on our cameras & phones to get great pics. Got a shooting star in the photo of my parents too!
