The coordination for this experience was not well thought out and led to us missing a key part of what we purchased. We had purchased tickets to visit the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the 9/11 Museum starting at 12:15. When we arrived, we were told we wouldnā€™t leave until 1:00. Once we did leave, we spent time talking about Battery Park before actually getting in line for the ferry. The line took close to two hours to go through and we ended up with only 29 minutes at the Statue of Liberty and 30 minutes on Ellis Island before returning. By the time we arrived at the 9/11 museum, we were not allowed entry because it was after 4:00. The guide did not realize what our purchased package consisted of and we did not receive the experience we paid for.

I never received my tickets to see the 9/11 memorial museum. I was able to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island, but the check in guy never sent us the tickets for 9/11 museum.

So our guide Bonnie was great with the knowledge of the area and the things we were doing. However, when I purchased the tour I was thinking there was a special type of entry, kind of like a Disney Fast Pass. Nope, she just advised us to stay together and follow her. She instructed us on how to navigate the large crowds and how to sneak through everyone else. We also had limited time at the Statue, and even less time at Ellis Island. I didnā€™t get to explore like I wanted to and often what I learned about the place was what Bonnie told us, not actually getting to look around and read everything. The whole tour was about 6 hours and there were 22 of us. So I would bring a snack or two because you will be walking quite a bit.

You did have VIP fast track entry. There are 2 separate lines. The standard line take 2-3 hours to go through airport like security
