A LOT OF ANODYNE, GENERIC FIVE-STAR REVIEWS HERE BY PEOPLE WHO HAVE MADE FEW OR NO OTHER TRIPADVISOR CONTRIBUTIONS; INCLUDING ONE FROM THE DAY OF MY RENTAL, WHEN ALL I SAW WAS FOLORN PEOPLE WHO HAD BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME. GO FIGURE. Admittedly, this is my first TripAdvisor review, but there’s a balance to be redressed here. We prebooked but, when we got there, they said they had no bikes for 90mins (they tried to take money off us then and there anyway). We came back and were told to wait 20mins. We went to grab a bite, came back 20mins later and had to wait 30mins for bikes. We weren’t expecting quality, but they were extremely rickety even by tourist rental standards. My wife’s basket fell off, breaking the bag inside, and she was never really comfortable with her brakes. We got back to find the door locked and a long line of people outside, as the staff couldn’t admit anyone until they’d sorted the pile of recently-returned bikes inside. Why one of the staff couldn’t have taken custody of the bikes on the pavement, returned people’s passports and let them go is beyond me. Oh, and they insist on selling insurance regardless of whether you want or need it. I explained we had insurance through our holiday cover, but they didn’t care. A bit of a shakedown, really.

Really bad service. Particularly if you go with Sightseeing Pass. Even if you book in advance they don't not have bikes available. One hour and a half later they kept making excuses. 3 hours and 4 passes later, we had to cancel with no refund. Don't pay / scan your passes at least you see the bikes at your disposal. Many people complaining about the bikes as well.
