When I arrived at the Observatory I ead told it was cloudy. I was sold an iPad for $15, to show me where places would be if i could see them. Not worth it. Inaccurate and a complete waste of money. All the staff were very helpful and the trip itself was pleasant. I visited the restaurant a steak sandwich for $14 was good value but there were no seats and when you have walked around you need a seat. Overall a good trip.

The observatory is entirely indoors. The windows are filthy and there is no way to prevent glare from the other windows. Every step is a sales pitch. Rent an iPad, take a picture, buy a drink, get in faster. If you go for the entire package, you could be on the hook for $100.00. The views are great, but good photos are very difficult take. Staff downstairs aren’t organized... go inside, go outside, wait in this line, wait in that line. We lost our place in line outside because we were told to go inside. When we went inside, we we sent back out!!! Line takes forever and you will have to come back hours later for your tour! Go somewhere else.

No question this is a great view and the elevator ride to the top amazing.but I thought the photographers and the rental of the iPads a bit much..re revenue enhancement
