My wife and I bought our "automated" tickets for the Kiosk and waited for assigned time to be admitted. The elevator ride was fast and did a Video of "time going by" that was interesting. It really was too fast...and could have included more building and historical info as you go up to the 102 floor observatory.Once on top, the views are fabulous and there are also "learning areas" with instructors that speak about important people and events that shaped this part of NYC. There is also a Bar and very nice resuarant that have decent but higher priced cuisine along with great views of the city. For a person that is looking for one of the top 10 main attractions....this is a must see. But really just once.

Honestly, I was thinking more things could be done at the time I reached the top floor. But just in 20 minutes I could finish my visit, because nothing else but the city view from the top during night. That is all, a poor excuse to get money from people who wants to have a cool experience. Even the first point was to take a photo with a fake background in order to try to get more money from people, employees were agressive to jump onto people to get this photo ready at the first place. Last time I trust this kind of experience. For $38 had the only advantage to skip the massive queue, and I wish I had a dinner instead of spending this money for just 20 minutes of my time. Moreover, as you can see from my picture, there is not a clear spot with a little gap to get a proper photo, all done my night had reflections, so not even a nice memory you can get if you choose the late evening, 5 to 7pm slot.

Definitely worth a visit when you're in New York. We especially enjoyed the elevator ride, which was much too short!, and the views were breathtaking. I'm glad we bought a skip-the-line ticket. There was a good little informative talk available, should you choose to stop and listen, about what was currently on in the city, as well. Nice smiling staff for once, rare in the city!
