Just got back to Florida after spending a couple of weeks in Alaska. This by far was the best excursion we participated in. It was safe for everyone, while being exciting for those risk seekers. Do not miss out on this activity, your cruise ships do not even mention it and it will be sold out by the time you get there...it sells out quickly. We even saw more wild life on this excursion than we did on the actual whale watching tour we did the next day. The people who run the tour are local to the area and are proud of their locale and it shows. I would just like to say thank you to all of them! Oh one more thing to add...is ok to bring your good cameras, weather permitting. We did noy and wish we had.

Prior to departure, I asked countless seasoned Alaska natives and visitors if there was a "must-do" tour that we should take on our Alaskan cruise. Well...I've now answered that question for myself. If you're into an exhilarating, adrenaline rush, up-close and personal kind of tour then - hands down - this is it!!! We saw no less than 15 American Bald Eagles, many harbor seals, eagle's nests, a few amazing humpback whales - and even kissed some waterfalls. I lived in Hawaii for many years, and have been on hundreds of whale watches, but I found Christian and Ashley to be ultra-knowledgeable - and I even learned some new things. The whole trip evoked much laughter and excited joy from everyone on board due to the sheer exhilaration of the high-speed ride, 360 degree turns, and proximity to sites and sounds we would never have otherwise had the opportunity to experience. I felt like a kid again, but on a combination of my first wild animal safari/roller coaster ride! Seriously - if you do no other excursion in Alaska - do this one!!! If there were TEN stars available for this adventure - they would earn each and every one!

This adventure really is the stand out excursion for our week in Alaska! My family & I went on this excursion on Saturday, July 27th. Our ages ranged from 10-75. Each one of us had an amazing time! We were able to see humpback whales and basically travel along side of them, at a respectable distance, for several minutes! Eagles densely populate this area, so we were able to get great pictures of them in trees and flying through the sky. Our guides, Ashley & Christian, are extremely knowledgable about this area's wildlife & natural land features. We walked away not only having ridiculous fun, but with a wealth of knowledge about sea life & how the fjord was formed. We saw humpbacks, eagles, otters, harbor seals, & several waterfalls. This is a definite MUST DO, as I plan to do it all over again on my next trip to Alaska!!!
