We have been to Skagway seven times on cruises. We've done the Glacier Point Safari, the White Pass RR, fishing on Chilkoot lake, kayaking on Chilkoot Lake, Chilkoot Hike and Float, and kayaking with train tours, so after doing about everything the cruise lines had to offer, I came across this tour on Google and thought it was worth a couple hours. It ended up being one of my favorite tours in Alaska. We had so much fun zipping along the Lynn Canal, stopping to see amazing waterfalls, eagles and their nests, harbor seals and even a couple humpbacks. I forgot my camera and one of the guides took a picture of us with his cell phone and mailed it to me. I thought that was very nice. Probably not for the faint of heart, as you do go very fast between photo stops, but so much more fun than sitting on that railroad for hours. Would certainly recommend.

Ocean Raft Alaska in Skagway is THE SHORE EXCURSION you must take! We were lucky to arrive on a day in July when the fjord was calm and smooth. The professional and courteous staff outfitted us in warm suits complete with head gear, goggles, and gloves. Our captains welcomed our group aboard the thirty foot Zodiac rescue boat. This craft was outfitted with comfortable seating leaving everyone plenty of room for excellent photo opportunities. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the abundant wildlife and spectacular terrain. If you want to experience harbor seals, eagles, whales, waterfalls and rugged coastline up close, take this exciting excursion. We came away knowing we had experienced a part of Alaska few get to experience. This indeed was the highlight of our Alaskan Cruise. What a great trip!

We didn't have an excursion booked when we got off the ship in Skagway but we wanted to do something different if we could. What we found was Ocean Raft Alaska, a Zodiac boat like the Navy Seals use that takes you speeding down the Lynn Canal and in and out of coves so quick you sneak up on seals and eagles and I'm sure some other kinds of wildlife on certain days. A very fun 2 hour ride and the Captains that lead you are very knowledgeable and personable to be with. Our group of four were thrilled and very satisfied with our experience.
