Overview

This section is great for beginners or the experienced rafter with over 20 continuous class III & IV rapids. With plenty of places to surf and play, you’ll see why thousands of folks return year after year to raft this classic 5-mile run. Starting just below the Ocoee Dam No. 2, you’ll encounter your first big rapid, Grumpy’s, then its on to Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole and many more. Top that all off with a great place to swim about half way down and you’ll certainly become “one” with the river. Our wonderful river guides will help make your adventure one to remember.

The raft was great and if you raft middle Oconee ask for Chistian. Guy has the skills and humor to make the trip great.

We had a great time going down the middle Ocoee with Cherokee rafting. Our group consisted of two 12 year olds that had not rafted before and my adult sister that was scared due to having a bad experience tubing on a river as a child. Wes, our guide, was awesome. He prepared us for each rapid and shared the history of the river with us. My sister overcame her fear and attributes it to his calm demeanor. Everyone that works there was absolutely wonderful from those that check you in, to the bus driver, guides, etc. The facilities were also very clean. We would definitely recommend Cherokee rafting especially for families!!!

The entire experience was the bomb. But Kyle was absolutely amazing. He made the whitewater rafting exceptional. He was very personable and took our raw talent to the max. We surfed the whitewaters, did 360s, and kept us informed the entire trip. We will be back to go the day trip with Kyle!!!! Loved this and we will be back.
