Overview

This section is great for beginners or the experienced rafter with over 20 continuous class III & IV rapids. With plenty of places to surf and play, you’ll see why thousands of folks return year after year to raft this classic 5-mile run. Starting just below the Ocoee Dam No. 2, you’ll encounter your first big rapid, Grumpy’s, then its on to Broken Nose, Roller Coaster, Table Saw, Hell’s Hole and many more. Top that all off with a great place to swim about half way down and you’ll certainly become “one” with the river. Our wonderful river guides will help make your adventure one to remember.

We had an awesome experience with Cherokee Rafting on the middle Ocoee River! Our guide, Kyle, was great and made us feel safe and competent on the water. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a thrilling day on the rapids!

Had a great experience rafting with a large group of 22. Our guide Kyle was very informative and had me laughing with all of his dad jokes. It was very well organized. We received our gear, taught, on the bus, and rafting in 45 mins. or so. Would highly recommend Cherokee rafting when booking an Ocoee white water rafting trip.

My wife and I rafted the Middle section of the Ocoee while we were in the Chattanooga area for a weekend vacation. Cherokee rafting had plenty of fun things to keep you occupied while waiting for your trip to start including volleyball, corn hole, ping pong, spikeball, frisbees, and more. Our trip leader for the day was Wesley and he was our raft's guide as well. He made the trip awesome and also told us lots of details about the river and the surrounding area. We had a ton of fun and are definitely hoping to make it back soon to do the full river!
