In Miami for the first time while celebrating our anniversary.....wanted some outdoor fun & decided to go jet skiing. First time participating, decided on the 1-hr guided tour....had a blast...felt very comfortable & safe with our tour guide. Looking forward to our next trip to Miami....Miami Tours Jet skiing will definitely be at the top. Thanks

I took my husband here as a gift for his birthday and they did not disappoint. There was a delay in our original booking and we ended up rescheduling for the following day due to the wait, which was fine. The next day we ended up being late and they still worked with us and we were able to still get on a tour. I really can appreciate them being understanding and not turning us away for missing our reservation time. My husband had a wonderful time and we both left happy. They were serious when they said 70% fast. We will be back !!!

I was looking for something last minute to do in Miami on a beautiful hot sunny day, given both scuba diving and parasailing weren't available, and having seen good reviews of this company and tour, I signed up for the full-on 2 hour jet ski and snorkeling tour. The online booking was straightforward and they called to confirm. They're not near Miami Beach and offers a driver to pick me up. The driver was a good guy and asked for $60 round-trip which I felt was reasonable compared to a taxi ride. The trip took about 20 min each way to the Marina. Arrived there and you signed a waiver and off you go. They have a container to lock up your belongings as you can't really bring anything on board except a waterproof camera and sandals/flipflops. You get suited up with a life jacket and they gave you basic instructions on how to operate a jet ski. I was with a novice couple and a couple whose guy has done it before. They kept iterating that they're not responsible for crashes, traffic violations and injuries so it didn't really put me at ease. The instructor was obviously a pro at this. We slowly excited the marina one after another but the guy didn't tell us when to stop so i was the first one off and had no idea what to do. He then gave us a few more instructions on speed limit and how to maintain stability of the jet ski, then he just literally darted off at a high speed in the open water way. I had a lot of trouble maintaining the jet ski in a straight direction since the water was really choppy that day and I felt as I sped up to about 15-20 mph the jet ski would flip. After a bit of a struggle, the instructor waited for us at a point and then told us that we had to go >20-30 mph to allow the stabilizers of the jet ski to be effective. Duh! Wish he had told us that right off the bat, but the entire trip I felt I couldn't really go beyond 25 mph most of the time because the water was so choppy that you felt like you're on a constant roller coaster without seat belt or brakes on the jet ski, plus having water splashed to your face made it very hard to go fast for a long period. Sunglasses help but you'll need a tether to keep it on your face, and swimming goggles get fogged up quickly. We did get around the whole Miami harbor and ocean, and took a trip around Star Island to check out the mansions. At times the instructor's voice was too soft for us to hear what he was saying as our skiis were a bit far apart and he was really worried about us damaging the jet skiis. At one point we didn't know we went the other path and could've gotten a ticket, but in the open water without orientation it was hard for novices to know. Wish they could've given us a proper orientation ahead. The ride back to the marina was probably the most fun part since it's a long run of high speed jet ski, but again the instructor just darted off way ahead and it was almost impossible to follow him. I was worried more about staying alive and not getting flipped over. The tour did take 2 hours but I almost felt given the scary experience it was too long to stay on the jet ski worrying about keeping afloat. The shower facility was ok and there was hot shower as advertised. They at the end asked for tipping with a "%" and I felt compelled to give something decent. They did agree to refund the snorkeling part since the water was too rough to do that, but it took a few business days to reply to me via email to ask for my CC # to process the refund. Overall, this was certainly an exhilarating but also terrifying experience for a novice who's never jet skiied. Better instructor and orientation and instruction on how to jet ski in open water (not a lake) would've been helpful and improved the experience. I felt the guys were nice but weren't very attentive to the individual level of expertise. Even the guy who's jet skiied before said the water was really rough, so imagine a novice having to navigate the water and operating a jet ski without an instructor nearby to help ('cause he was already miles ahead). For this tour to be worthwhile you need 2 hours since the 1-hour tour didn't really take you to the good spots around Miami. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have some jet ski experience, certainly not when the water is rough and choppy. Almost feels like as a novice you're better off pairing with an experienced guy like an instructor; would make the experience a lot better.
