We went on whale watch trip recently in September....saw many whales and very much liked the crew on the boat. However, when booking the cruise, we were told told when the boat would be back to Orcas Island and that the boat would not be very full. We arrived over an hour late back to Orcas, and as a result, were late for dinner reservations in Eastsound. Also, the boat was packed with well over #30 people. As a result, not a very Covid safe experience. After the trip, I called and asked to speak to a supervisor. I received a call back and the man who called me back did not listen to anything I said of concern, except to have an explanation for why my concern was invalid. He was basically a jerk to talk with, getting aggressive on the phone with me. As a result I hung up....wasn't going anywhere positive. Again, I liked the crew and seeing the whales, just didn't like being lied to about the timing and fullness of the boat, and the very rude supervisor. I WILL NOT GO OUT WITH THEM AGAIN!

My friends and I went on this tour while visiting Orcas Island. The boat was very nice, it wasn't too crowded, and it had a bathroom (which I didn't use). There was a seat pretty much anywhere you wanted to sit, I was able to sit outside in the front, and then when I got cold moved inside and was still able to see the water. You can open the windows and take photos. The crew was fantastic, provided lots of surrounding area information, history, and interesting facts. They even stopped for us to take photos of sea lions, Mt. Baker and the lighthouse. We didn't see any whales, but they went everywhere searching for whales, and we spent 4 hours on the water. They truly tried to get some whale sightings, and even though we didn't, I felt we got our money's worth. I have some beautiful photos and amazing memories from this experience. I highly recommend trying this out.
