Overview

The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

My granddaughter and I had a fantastic time on our ocean kayaking tour! The kayaking was so much fun and the caves were beautiful, but what really made the trip was the incredible staff. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us, they really make you feel like part of the team. They also made the process so easy and seamless — they have a ton of people on hand to help you enter and exit the ocean, and two guides with you on the tour. Special shout-out to Adam, Calvin, Abbie, and Ellery!
