The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

I traveled from DC to Chicago and ended my short vacation in San Diego. Kayaking, paddle boarding and surfing rentals are well worth it. The tour was amazing, Gabby was our tour guide and she was great. I took plenty of pictures and I saw some Sea Lions and the caves were amazing. The best part was the shopping for clothes to take back home to DC with. I'm a huge fan for their Everyday California gear. I strongly suggest he waterproof phone case they have for your phone. Anastasia was great and the staff was awesome enough for me to plan another trip soon. What a great way to spend the day on the beach!!!!

Had a great time in this tour. Staff is great all around from check in to the tour guides out in the ocean. Highly recommended even if you are local, there is always something new you pick up. Can't wait to get back and rent another kayak.

This was a kayak & snorkel tour, and it would have been a 5 if it weren't for choppy ocean conditions that prevented us from snorkeling. In spite of this, tour guides Caitlyn and Gaby did a wonderful job filling the time, leading us to various points of interest around the cove, and sharing interesting anecdotes about the locale and its history. This was no easy task, considering that there were several small children on the tour (mine included) who were uneasy with the waves. Caitlyn and Gaby handled them with great kindness and patience. Kudos to them!
