The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Did a fantastic sea cave tour with my teen daughter in double kayak but also hired the gear for snorkelling and surfing either side of the trip to try out with my teen son and had an absolute blast! The staff could not have been more flexible, accommodating or helpful from enquiry, to booking. They just made the whole thing a pleasure to get organised. The tour itself with Nora and Attican (sorry if misspelled) was great- they were really knowledgable and made everyone feel so welcome- going in and out of a cave on the waves was really fun and they were so good about keeping us all together and paying attention to safety whilst having a laugh too. We saw leopard sharks, Garibaldi and other fish over the reef and it was a great place to spot seals , pelicans and sea lions from a different perspective of the cliffs at La Jolla Cove. I would really recommend Everyday California to anyone looking to get a little experience of each of these sports even if you only have one day to spare. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!

We enjoyed our time on the kayaks. Only bummer was that the waves were too high to enter the caves. We did very much enjoyed our time on the kayaks and the suggestions we received from Luke to visit the Hidden Swing and to drive up to the Soledad Memorial made a great way to wrap up our afternoon before dinner. I would say that the limited area to change and store your belongings is a bit cramped, but I don't see a way you can change that. Both Luke and Joe were great guides and very friendly. Enjoyed hearing all the information about an area I've never been to.
