The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Surf too high to enter or be near caves. Kayaked out and floated around. Saw a few dolphins swim by, nothing else. $99 for 2 people advertised, $129 when purchased. Store charged $30 more for SD city tax….so really $159. Meh

We were booked for 7/18/22 @10am we were running late and got a call from their shop asking if we will be making it and that they will get us up to speed on our experience . What a relief I thought to myself thinking our reservation will be canceled. We made it just in time as our group was making their way into the water we quickly got suited up with our life jackets and helmets. Meeting up at a nearby red buoy out guide Philip gave us a run down on what is to be expected during the experience and wildlife we might see. Lauren stayed behind the group making sure we stayed on course and in case anyone ran into any problems. The highlight of the day was experiencing high tides inside a cave very scary but awesome experience! I never been in the ocean kayaking but through out the whole time I felt safe and trusted our guides. Wouldnt have asked for anyone better then these 2 ! Lastly this being my first time ever in San Diego and this experience being my last until I drive home up north. I left with a smile on my face wanting to come back for more! Next time I’ll be snorkeling and will be coming back to hopefully meet these 2 people again !

The tour guides Phillip and Anastasia were extremely helpful and informative! Not to mention friendly! We were able to go into the cavern and it was a lot of fun!
