The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We had a great experience on the kayak tour! My husband has a lot of kayak experience but I do not. This trip was perfect for us. Our guides, Attican and Bailee were great. They had the perfect mix of humor, history, and conversation. We learned a lot about the caves and rocky cliffs. A few of my personal notes/suggestions if you are considering this tour: - Parking is not easy around the area. Give yourself plenty of time to find parking before you need to be at Everyday California. There's lots to see in the area if you arrive early and get a spot. - They tell you that you "may" get wet. I can't imagine not getting wet. My husband and I did flip our kayak in the waves at the beginning and end of the tour and were fully drenched. :) Wear your bathing suit and expect to get wet. - They sell sunglasses straps. I didn't buy one. I lost my sunglasses. Good thing they were a cheap pair! - If you think you may get sea sick...you probably will. Take a dramamine but still go on the tour - it's worth it! We definitely recommend this tour and it was a great addition to our vacation in Southern California.
