Overview

The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We saw sea lions, garibaldi fish and leopard sharks. Our guides were knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly. Great weather, too. Would definitely go again. Careful, you will get wet but it isn't cold.

This was a great activity from start to finish. I booked it through Get Your Guide. Everyone who works at Everyday California was so friendly and helpful. My friend had never kayaked before, nor had most of the other participants. Ben and Tyler helped us with our gear and we went out with Tyler and Jordan. Not only were we able to go into the cave, but we saw leopard sharks and dolphin as well as meeting a sea lion in the cave You will get wet

Great fun for the experienced or newbies to kayaking. We saw garibaldi fish, leopard sharks, dolphins and sea lions. Cloudy and cool day so our $10 wetsuit rental was well worth it. Guides had lots of info to share, just hard to hear them at times. I recommend!
