Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Very friendly, safe and professionally run operation in the charming town of LaJolla. We went on a very good day, placid seas, low winds, sunny and mild. Guide was very informative but if you do not stay close she was a little hard to hear. We did not bother with wet suits although they were available. Water temp was 57, air 72. We got a little wet but no need for wet suit. Bring towel and change of clothes for after. We each got individually escorted into one cave, maybe 50 feet, in and out, a minute or so. So it was not the channels through caves experience I was hoping for. Really just kayaking and listening to tour.

We set this up, because we had a last minute trip to San Diego. Wonderful time! The people that sign you in are very pleasant. It did feel like we were being pressured to purchase additional things (locker, wet suit, etc...). However, I can appreciate there was a need to have things offered, but it did feel like we were being up-sold. It did not tarnish our experience. We felt completely safe from social distancing, to our guide, and being in the water. Our guide, TRENT, always had his eyes on the whole group and was very clear in what needed to be done to keep safe. He was entertaining, informative, and truth be told he is easy on the eyes! He picked seaweed for anyone who wanted to try. Had ginger ready for anyone who was getting motion sickness, and an opportunity to take a dip. I would take this trip again in a heartbeat! Thank you.....

Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. It was my first time kayaking and it was a blast. Our guide Trent told us some very interesting facts about marine life and how the caves formed. He's an excellent leader - engaging, encouraging, always with an eye on safety. It was a magical experience and I recommend it most highly.
