Out of Africa Wildlife Park Admission Ticket

Overview
Come see animals up close in large spacious habitats. Out of Africa Wildlife Park strives to educate and entertain, to provide an exciting and engaging opportunity to love and respect creation and creator. It is a place where family and friends gather to experience oneness with animals and each other during safaris, tours, walks, observations, and shows of wild-by-nature animals in their own, natural splendor. In this way, we hope to achieve a kind of oneness with them that will cause us to consider them to be so valuable that we cannot allow them to be lost forever. We continually provide spacious and natural living habitats for animals in need, so they can become ambassadors of their own kind. We have heeded the call of those without a voice, many of whom now border on extinction.

Was our second visit there. It's a nice park in the heat of Arizona with many animals. We've been told lots of them are rescues. Well, animals have nice fenced-in areas which seem to be better than in classic zoos. They had baby lions, so cute, I think they take good care of. But they are still in captivity and I'm really not sure what to make of this. But it's better for them to live there as in a small apartment in a city where one senior was rescued out. We touched a snake, but I think the snake must have been stressed out because of the many people. I felt sorry for her. But the staff seemed to keep an eye on her so she won't get harmed. They have wildlife, amphibians and even cats in the gift shop. To be honest, I was shocked to find a cat locked in an aviary. They said it's because they are about to close soon and they don't want to look for her. There also were birds in the shop, I think rescues too. The park is well groomed, staff is nice and I love the open area where animals have lots of space to run around. We saved money at the entrance because we were a little late (3 pm). That was nice. It's an 1 1/2 hour drive from Scottsdale. And it's really HOT, be prepared.

Went to Out of Africa and did the Unimog (sp?) tour. The tour was excellent, including watching our tour guide jump out, go into a cage with a full grown mountain lion... to play with him. He had a lioness snuggle him. It was just amazing. It really does make you rethink a few things.

We bought the expedition tour ($56/pp if I recall correctly). That guided tour separates you from the casual visitor crowd and takes you on a vehicle (they call it Unimog) thru the “Serengeti”, where you are in close counter with the animals like zebras etc. You can’t pet any of the animals though. The highlight of my tour was feeding the giraffe. We got celery sticks handed and everyone on the tour (15ppl), one by one, fed the giraffe either by hand or put the celery stick in your mouth and get some giraffe slobber on you (haha!! Do it!) Bit disappointing was the tiger feeding. Even though their show was great, from the pictures of their brochures I expected to actually feed the tiger somehow not between the wire. Common sense made me wonder how they would safely do that, but turns out you feed the tiger thru a tube thru the fence. Still cool, but not as “picture perfect” as I would have hoped. With that ticket, you can also hop on and off the regular trolley going thru the park. Nice experience.
