The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

My family had a wonderful day trip. The ride up was smooth and the staff were all extremely nice and polite. There was still snow on the ground.

We booked, as did a lot of people for a 3pm ride. Just as we were about to board an Asian Tour Group arrived and were given priority over us, taking up two of the next to gondolas to the top!!! Why would you let people book a 3pm ride if you knew you had a tour arriving at that time. Smacks of bad management. Also we brought 2 Christmas baubles of a replica of the Gondola. Check them when we left to make sure all was ok. By the time we got them home several of the black plastic used to represent windows, rather that what we thought was painted, had attached itself to the plastic bag they were wrapped in and had come off. Totally rendering it useless. Don't buy them they are cheap but not cheap to buy. The service everywhere was rubbish, apart from the very friendly and witty man inside the gondola. Having said that the views from the top are spectacular, a different world.
