Our driver, cousin Jarret, was great. I know I’m not supposed to call him that but I didn’t know how to spell his nickname. He was very personable. Very knowledgeable about the history of Oahu. He made the bus ride to Pearl Harbor enjoyable and made us realize how grateful we should be for those who have died to give us the freedom we enjoy. I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends.

Anyone travelling to Honolulu must make this trip. It is very moving and emotional and gives a full and descriptive account of the events of the attack.

Bus picked us up from our Waikiki hotel and dropped us back after the tour. We went to Pearl Harbor and had plenty of time to look around before and after the Arizona movie/boat ride to the memorial. You can't go onto the memorial at present due to cracking but either way it is very "moving", esp. after watching the movie before going out via boat. The second part of the tour is a good way to get a snap shot of the city. I think I am Hawaii Five 0's biggest NZ fan - so I was rather excited to stop outside the buildings they use on the show. All in all this tour is worth it - it takes the hassle out of arranging going to Pearl Harbor yourself. The guild gets all the tickets for the Arizona memorial for you. So basically you need do nothing. MY TIP - don't take any bags. You don't need them. Also, you cannot take bags larger than approx. A5 into Pearl Harbour. It will cost you $8 to check them into lockers. But, most importantly, it is just a hassle, checking them in. You, also cant leave them on the bus, as while we looked around the bus was taking the last tour back into town.
