Overview

Visit USS Arizona and Battleship Missouri, as they represent both the beginning and the end of World War II. The accompanying “Road to War” and “Attack” exhibit galleries that display pictures and recovered items from the events which transpired at Pearl Harbor and WWII. Then, watch a short film explaining the fateful day and its significance. Followed by a boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, the final resting place of the ship's 1,177 crewmen.

USS Missouri has served proudly through WWII, the Korean War, and the Gulf War for a 51-year long career. Launched from the Naval Shipyard in Brooklyn in 1944.

Battleship Missouri Memorial

Visit the battleship USS Missouri—lovingly known as the "Mighty Mo". After fighting in the last year of the war with Japan, Mighty Mo served as the location where Japan would sign the official surrender documents. In addition to the historically significant, Mighty Mo offers a look at what life at sea was like aboard a battleship.

National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific

Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Antonio was our driver and wonderful host guide. He set us up beautifully for our experience at Pearl Harbor and then a great look at the city and the sites. Our weather was terrible--lots of rain--and it was still a great tour. If anything wish we had started at 8am instead of 10am because there were still things to see and do when we left late afternoon.

The dock at the Arizona Memorial was not in service so that part of the tour didn’t happen and that is the high light of the trip. The 7 minute virtual show was disappointing. Check the Arizona Memorial website to see when & if the dock is repaired.

Having a great guide that knew what she was doing and we got in and out of the tour effortlessly. She was from the area, knew the history and shared with everyone on the trip.
