Great tour with excellent guide. Was nice to have a guide that just talked to you about everything and wasn’t scripted. Got to see all the sites that were promised and then some. Highly recommend and will take tour again when back in the area. Thanks

My husband and I took this tour and were expecting great things. I found the tour through many fantastic Trip Advisor reviews. How bitterly disappointed we were. Our tour guide was Frank and how he has remained a tour guide for 20 years is beyond us !! The tour started out 25 minutes late because they waited for 2 groups of tourists that were running 15 minutes late and then for Frank to have a cigarette down a laneway, thinking he had slipped away unnoticed. Frank started the tour by obviously eyeing up the poor lady who had to sit in the front seat next to him. He then asked her 3 times where her husband was ?! None of his business in my opinion... She was visibly embarrassed by his probing question and unwanted attention. Frank's sense of humour fell flat, left the tourists on the bus feeling uncomfortable and completely unamused. When he didn't get responses to his jokes or bad singing, he would then pick someone on the bus to address directly which appeared to be very unappreciated. I know my husband and I were left very unimpressed by Frank's manner. Touring some celebrity homes we were pulled over by a motorbike policeman for contravening a local road law and ignoring vehicle restriction signs posted all around us (vehicles over 3 tonne prohibited). Frank tried unsuccessfully to talk his way out of the infringement and then made another inappropriate comment to the lady in the front seat stating that she was lucky to not get arrested. He thought he was very funny and got a great kick out of his own comment. Not one person on the bus laughed. Frank asked me directly what I thought of that situation. Interesting is all I could reply. We departed the area and within minutes entered another restricted area for heavy vehicles and continued to do so many more times. A total disregard for the road laws. Upon entering the Beverley Hills Hilton, Frank was told we were not welcome but he drove through anyway. He drove his bus full of tourists through more amber/orange traffic lights than I cared to count and up the left hand side of a road towards oncoming traffic. Our stop at the Markets for lunch was supposed to be 1 hour and everyone except Frank was at the meet point on time. He arrived 5 minutes late, declaring we all had the time wrong and he would be back in 5 minutes to go and get the bus and bring it back. Declaring we would then be on time !! Frank came back to us driving and smoking a cigarette inside the bus. Getting out of the bus with his lit cigarette, he came around to the side opened the door but asked one of the tourists to hold it open while the rest of us boarded. Said he didn't like to smoke in front of the children and then stood back to finish his cigarette. Perhaps not smoking whilst on tour maybe a much better idea Frank. Completely unprofessional in our opinion. Our stop in Hollywood was only 30 minutes which is not nearly long enough and I am sure we were supposed to stop for 60. Anyway, we returned on time to find the bus open but no Frank. Eventually we spotted him sitting inside a shop front in the air conditioning. So we left late once again, leaving very little time at Rodeo Drive. My husband and I had been picked up from our hotel in Venice Beach but chose to get off the bus at Santa Monica and walk back rather than ride another 10 minutes with Frank. Needless to say we left no tip. I think this tour has great content but if you choose to take it, my advice would be to ensure Frank is not your guide.

Many Thanks to Ryan, we had a little trouble with the traffic in L.A. to meet our children in time. Ryan mad it possible to shift our tour. The tour was really great. once again many thanks, Ryan Maria, Simone, Steve, Laurent, Vincent and Wolfgang and best wishes from Germany
