Petrópolis a city in Rio de Janeiro State also known such as Imperial City. It was the first planned city construction of Brazil and modern world in 19th century. The Imperator Dom Pedro II, in 1843 made the region as his summer staying, ten years later in 1853 the first brewery of Brazil was founded in Petrópolis, but in 1898 was renamed Bohemia.

Recommended. Half-day tour of the first part of the history of Brazil! Each point has something interesting and closes with a visit to the Imperial Museum and the Bohemian Brewery! Our guide, Rafael Robaina was amazing. We were 40 and several languages and attended to each and every one!! He took care of us and attended at all times, even when crossing the street! Somewhat tiresome but the end result is good.

Petrópolis City is amazing. A unique city, with a lot of history to tell, historical buildings, has the imperial museum, palace of crystal, church of St Peter of Alcântara, among other points that are important for us to better know the history and construction of Petrópolis, in addition to the brewery Bohemia. Guia Rafael Robaina very good people, friendly, explained us very well the context of the place, the history of the city in general, curiosities, historical monuments and among other details even of the imperial family. After all, I even met the Casa de Santos Dumont that became a tourist spot in the area. It is worth seeing this beautiful city. A single bad point was that the hostel staff said missing 15 minutes to embark on the trip that the bus departure would be elsewhere. Last minute warning, I had to run. But taking that out, it was good, great walk, great company, great guide. He translated into 3 languages adapting the language for all travelers. It's worth it. Note: 9,0
