Along with a group of friends, we went into the city to enjoy a "girl's day out". It ended up being more fun than we ever anticipated. Our first adventure was taking the Big Bus Tour. My friends were delighted with not only the historical aspect of the tour but by the knowledge and experience of John our tour guide and Melanie our driver. Everyone left the tour anxiously awaiting their next visit to Philadelphia to actually do some hop-on, hop-off stops and get a birds-eye view of the many historical sites open to the public.

We chose the one day option and it was good, we did all we needed to and it helped us get an idea of the full centre city area. Philadelphia isn't a huge city and we had actually explored quite a lot on foot already but the guides were informative. We would recommend if you want to see everything quickly.

An argument took place between a young man and the female tour guide. It was quite loud and unpleasant.
She refused to continue as our guide unless he got off the bus. He did. Otherwise the tour was fine.
