Do yourself a favor and splurge on the Daily Philly Pass which includes this hop-on, hop-off tour bus, but also includes admission into almost 40 different attractions along the route. The day we used the Big Bus it was windy and cold – not ideal for traveling on the top of the bus, although it didn’t stop some people. The tour guides on the 2 buses we rode were both very good and informative about the route and specific sites and facts along the way. I think the stops for the busses could be better marked or explained differently on the map they provide. Also, we think the busses run about every 20 minutes, but on a Saturday when there is a lot of tourist traffic you need to be patient and understand it’s going to take some extra time to navigate through the heavy traffic they are facing. All-in-all, we wouldn’t hesitate to do this tour again, but would definitely get the Philly Pass to take advantage of the admission included for many of the sites.
