The stops for most of these tour buses are strategically located near hotels, the one I stayed at being one of them and I am also lucky that it was in front of Reading terminal. From amongst the tour guide, I like Mike the best (with driver Shelly). Very informative of the history of the sights you see while on the bus. I also met a very helpful ticket seller at station 6 where I started. She gave me an idea not to walk all the way to the first station and just wait for the bus on 6th. As you finish on the 27th, hop on the bus leaving to get to 1-5th to complete the whole trip. Completing one whole loop is highly recommended so you can plan on which stop you want to focus on. Make sure you check the schedules on what days and what time until those places are open. Next time, I will come back to stay near the ship that they turned into a restaurant. That area is more quiet but also has a stop for the bus tour. For one day tour and the price, it was worth it. The best way to see the city. I forgot to tell you, I did this by myself too.

I wish we'd done this the first day, so that's our own fault. It gives a great wrap around guide of where to go, things to see, and a general layout of how to get to and from there. It was quite hot in some sections like toward Old City. As many others have said, low hanging branches could be a problem. Our guide was well informed, but used "um" and "uh" to insane degrees. We waited at one stop (#18) for only about 15 minutes, so no issues there, though I do wish there were benches to sit at while waiting. It's also great that both the brown and red bus apply. By far my biggest complaint was the system of on and off. The driver wouldn't stop at every stop if no one wanted off or on, which is fair. But the way to get off was literally telling our guide what stop we wanted off on. This disrupted the information quite often and in one case, the guide had a back and forth with a patron for a full 2 minutes as everyone else just sat there getting zero information.

Seamus was our guide and he was very entertaining and knowledgeable about the history of old town. Learned a lot in a very short time and came back after for deeper dives. Highly recommend!
