Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

My 2 teenagers had an incredible time. Jon was so friendly and his team of instructors went above and beyond to make sure the boys felt confident and they were up on their board in no time. We specially love that they made sure that each instructor only had up to three students so everyone got plenty of attention. We first had scheduled for only one class but the boys enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back on the next day too.

My 2 sons (18 and 17) had huge smiles on their faces when they finished their lesson. They both said they had a wonderful time. The instructor was very supportive and patient. Highly recommend.

Very positive and energizing instructors who will support you the whole time. As first timers, my partner and I were very comfortable. The waves are good in the morning.
