Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

I booked a surf lesson for my teenage daughter and myself two weeks ago, based on Sandbar Surf School's Tripadvisor reviews. We had an incredibly fun adventure! All if the staff members were friendly, helpful and patient. The focus was on enjoying the sport, and Angela was an integral part of that experience. The student/instructor ratio is EXCELLENT. We had such a great time that we booked another lesson this past weekend, this time for my daughter and my son. My daughter was thrilled to have Angela again, and was able to get some instruction on how to further improve her surfing skills. Both kids were happy and excited about learning how to surf. I'm sure we will be back for more lessons!

This was the first time for my two daughters (16 & 21) who had a group lesson. They absolutely had a fantastic time, total blast ! They actually surfed standing up by the end of their lesson. My daughters send that this was the best part of their vacation. We would have booked another lesson if we stayed longer. Kudos to Jonny and the team!
