Overview

Learning to surf with Sandbar Surf School is a lifetime bucket list thing that you will never forget. We are the premier surf school in California's Central Coast and we have been teaching surf lessons here in Pismo Beach since 1996. We have tons of local surf knowledge as well as many of our instructors are world travelers/surfers. We truly love what we do and you will have the best time in the world going with us. Laugh with us, surf with us and maybe even come to one of our bonfires! We would not only love to meet you from wherever in the world you are from, but we promise that your surf experience with us will be the part of the trip that you can't stop talking about in the days to come.

We've been coming to Pismo for years and just found this awesome surf school! Sandbar Surf is the whole package. Our family & 5 kids took a 2 hour surf class, wet suits included which is important for Pismo. They had an instructor per every 5 students, and the instructors we had, lovingly referred to themselves as the "Triplets" we're absolutely amazing! They had high energy, motivating, and helped everyone make their way up on the boards! Our family had the best time and tired as they were, they're already planning their next lesson. I highly recommend this for anyone at any age, we'll be back!!!

One 16 year old, and one 11 year old, both had a great experience. Great coach to surfer ratios, all gear provided. For those not familiar with Pismo meeting point is the 2nd car park at the sea front, not the larger one. Make sure you get there early to allow yourself time to prepare, as session starts promptly. Easy telephone communication before hand. If I could give higher then 5 starsI would!

We had SUCH a great time with Sandbar surf school. They were very lenient in accommodating our specific time schedule, and were great to work with. There were bathrooms near the parking lot that we met at and the beach was very accessible. The lesson was great and we loved our instructor, Alyssa. She was so positive and gave us real feedback that led to a very successful lesson! I would recommend Sandbar surf school to anyone looking to surf in Pismo- it's the best!!
