We had a private tour with Matt today. We were the only ones on the 1:00 tour. He had a full cart on the next one. He really was knowledgeable about the farm, pistachio trees, grape vines, processes and history. We learned a lot and it was a very enjoyable tour which lasted about 40 minutes. Highly recommend!

Thank you for visiting! Yes, the price of the tour is minimal and the tour itself is a great way to see the farming side of PistachioLand. We enjoy growing pistachios and wine grapes and turning them into delicious wines, candies and more. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit.

****DISCLAIMER**** I am VERY long winded here BUT this place deserves to be properly reviewed!! My husband and I stopped in (we are currently living in Alamogordo because of training at Holloman) when were drawn to the giant pistachio on the property. We were blown away! We were able to taste at least a dozen pistachio flavors, pistachio brittle, jelly, honey, salsa and last but not least WINE all for FREE! Phillip was incredibly sweet (some of the wines too) and we bought 2 of everything we tried. We had mentioned to him during the tasting that my parents were coming in to visit from Florida the following weekend and we definitely needed to get them there to see this incredibly awesome place. He then told us of something new they were trying, a tour with EXTRA! He was not wrong! My parents absolutely loved Phillip who had hosted our food and wine pairing that created a unique balance between the components of a nibble and the characteristics of a their wines. I cannot forget to mention that Matt met us before normal hours and we had the store to ourselves for the tasting. (WHO DOES THIS ANYMORE? PISTACHIOLAND!!!) We met and chatted with Tim (son of Tom McGinn, the founder of the operation) who shared his story, we quickly saw where the incredible passion and insight to get Pistachioland to where it is today was born (he gave a lot of the credit to his wife). NEXT (there is MORE) Matt met us at a tour car (the likes of one I have never seen before, golf cart on steroids is the best way to put it) with a giant scrumptious cookie for the road! My parents asked Matt SO MANY questions about growing pistachios (my great grandfather had an apple orchard in Pennsylvania, just a few things are different about the climates, LOL) and Matt had ALL the answers! He was funny and informative and in a blink of an eye another hour went by and we had to start wrapping it up. We then got discount coupons, a free t-shirt (we were able to choose from ANY in the store) AND a wine glass each!!! All of this and only $35 per person!! My parents are still talking about that visit and something that I thought they might love turned into memories of a life time!!!

Thank you sooo much! We appreciate the wonderful review of our farm and the wine tasting tour experience. Matt and Philipp do an awesome job with tours and they will be thrilled to hear that they made your experience memorable. We love that electric tour vehicle and it certainly does look like an oversized golf cart. We're happy to know that you enjoyed our family farm and hope that you have the opportunity to return back to see us again!
